Your first brow lamination: what to expect

The appointment takes about 45 minutes and the first day afterwards matters most. Here is how the visit runs and how to keep the shape for weeks.

Brow lamination has become one of our most requested treatments, mostly because it makes the brows you already have look fuller and neater without any daily effort. If you have never had it before, it helps to know what happens in the chair and what to do in the days that follow.

Before you come in

We need a quick patch test at least 48 hours before your first visit. It takes five minutes at the front desk. If you use retinoids near your brows or have had a peel in the last week, let us know so we can plan the date around it.

In the chair

  • A short consult about your face shape, how your brows grow and how bold you want the tint
  • Mapping so the shape follows your bone structure
  • A lifting lotion, then a setting lotion, each timed for your hair type
  • Tint, a tidy of stray hairs and a nourishing oil

Most people are in and out in about 45 minutes, and the only sensation is a little coolness from the lotions.

The first 24 hours

Keep your brows dry. Skip the gym, steam rooms, saunas and makeup on the brow area until tomorrow, and try not to sleep face-down on the first night.
