How often should you really book a facial?

Skin renews itself roughly every four to six weeks, which is why that rhythm works for most people. Here is when to go more or less often.

It is one of the first questions guests ask after a facial, and the honest answer is that it depends on your skin, your goals and your budget. Still, there is a sensible starting point.

Every four to six weeks for most skin

Healthy adult skin sheds and replaces its outer layer about once a month, a little slower as we get older. Booking on that rhythm means each facial works on fresh skin and builds on the last one rather than starting again.

When to come more often

  • During a course of peels, usually three visits four weeks apart
  • In the run-up to a wedding or big event
  • When congestion is flaring and regular, gentle extractions help

When to come less often

Reactive or very sensitive skin sometimes does better with more time between treatments and a simpler routine at home. We will suggest a gentler plan at your consult if that sounds like you.
